1. VERY LOCAL
We love to sit on our deck swing and watch the flowers, quails and humming birds. A very short drive down the hill will take you to our Kaleden beach. Its shallow waters make it child friendly and its fine tennis courts are often available. It is an area not well known to tourists. Walk along Skaha Lake shores, either south to O.K. Falls or north towards Penticton. Watch for local flora and fauna, among them deer, red-wing blackbirds, antelope bush and wildrose. On your way back to “Mom’s”, drop into our local convenience store, rent a DVD and refresh yourself with an ice-cream cone. Take a drive along Linden Avenue and discover Linden Gardens and Nursery and stop for a spot of tea. Or wander along other roads in our community. You will be rewarded by lovely views and may discover a deal on local fruit.
2. LOCAL
Many activities are possible including swimming, diving, boating, climbing, hiking, cycling, horseback riding, golfing, fishing and shopping. Go on a wine tasting tour, visit art studios, snack at fast food places or dine in quality restaurants, most within a 15 minute drive. Tickleberry's in O.K Falls is the local ice-cream meca, which boasts a huge selection of flavours.
